The promoters of Appscale worked for leading Management and IT consulting companies in India and abroad prior to founding Appscale.

Gautham has over 10 years of experience in Management and Information Technology consulting, in companies such as Tata Consultancy Services Limited, Indias largest IT consultancy and ICRA Limited, a credit rating and consulting company. 

Gautham holds a master's degree in finance from Cass Business School in London, in addition to a master's degree in business administration from Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Learning and a bachelor's degree in electronics and communication engineering from Madurai Kamaraj University.

Hariharan has over 10 years of experience in Information Technology consulting in leading IT companies such as HCL Technologies Limited. Hariharan spent over 5 years in the US consulting for Compaq (now HP) before returning to India. During his tenure in the US, he was involved in implementing CRM solutions in large call centers for Compaq across North America and EMEA using packages such as Clarify, E.Piphany and Primus. Hariharan's specific areas of expertise include database design, and software architecture on platforms such as J2EE.

Hariharan holds a bachelor's degree in electronics and communication engineering from Madurai Kamaraj University.

Raghuttama Rao has about 20 years of work experience with leading Indian companies such as Larsen & Toubro, Maruti Udyog, ICRA, and IMaCS. At present, he is the Managing Director of IMaCS, the consulting arm of the ICRA group, based out of India. A member of the founding team at ICRA, Raghu has played a key role in many initiatives at ICRA such as creating methodologies and new products, securitisation, and research. He also served on the Rating Committee of ICRA for about ten years. He was instrumental in creating and building the consulting initiative in ICRA, which was later spun off as IMaCS.

Raghu holds a bachelor's degree in engineering from IIT, Madras and a post graduate diploma in management from IIM, Ahmedabad. He has been a Fulbright scholar at Carnegie Mellon University, Pittsburgh, USA.
